General Questions

LandedCost.io offers two APIs for international commerce: the Landed Cost Calculator API estimates import duties, taxes, and fees, while the HS Code Search API helps you find country-specific HS codes using product information. You can request access to either API or both.

A landed cost calculator API calculates the “landed cost” of shipping merchandise from one country to another. The landed cost includes customs duties, taxes, and fees by taking input data such as the product cost, product weight, product quantity, HS Code, shipping details, and destination country.

The LandedCost.io is owned and operated by Vine Global Solutions, Inc., a Delware USA corporation founded in 2008. Vine Global Solutions, Inc. is headquartered in Midvale, Utah, USA.

Yes, our API can be integrated with various e-commerce platforms to provide accurate landed cost calculations during the shopping cart and checkout process. We also offer a Woocommerce plugin that is pre-integrated with our API.

Billing & Support Questions

We strive for 100% accuracy for each landed cost calculation. We run hundreds of daily automated tests against our landed cost calculator API to verify data accuracy and performance requirements are met. The data sourced in the calculator comes from a variety of commercial sources and publicly available sources.

The duty rates updates are checked every 15 days for new updates for our supported countries. In most cases, duty rates do not change very often, but our automated collection service continuously scans updates. When updates, our data experts review the data before its published to the API for public usage.
